Andreessen is in the the board of HP , which is positioning itself to become a competitor to oracle.I would take his comments with a grain of salt.

That's not true. Amazon offers Oracle databases as a service (as well as MS SQL Server, etc etc). It would be interesting to see how much take up they have seen on it.
