Show HN: Augmented Hacker News Reader V2
- beardyw 5y agoA nice looking interface. But I would miss being able to quickly scan down titles. Also the images often contain cut off text on my phone.
- piccogabriele 5y agoThe idea was to being able to quickly scan articles adding preview and description, but yes it inevitably takes up more space. I will take a look at the cut off text, thank you!
- piccogabriele 5y agoThe augmented reader I created a while ago just hit 20k monthly readers, a small achievement I wanted to share. I know it is a low number but considering that I have not invested or promoted the site in any way it is still a good result for me. I had shared the site on HN (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24006339 https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=24006339) and received some criticism which I used to improve the interface. With this post I would like to receive an additional round of comments and feedback. Thanks in advance to anyone who will comment.
- piccogabriele 5y agoThe code is open source (https://github.com/GabrielePicco/hacker-news-rich https://github.com/GabrielePicco/hacker-news-rich) and some useful tips have been integrated into the interface over time (e.g., collapsible comments)
