Tesla on autopilot killed 2 people in Gardena. Is driver guilty of manslaughter?
- fortran77 5y agoProbably.
- aeternum 5y agoYes. If an airliner with autopilot enabled crashes because the pilots fell asleep, are the pilots at fault? Yes, clearly.
- timoth3y 5y ago"A representative for Tesla, which has disbanded its media relations department, could not be reached for comment." When they said "Someone should lose their job over this!" that is not what they meant.
- netizen-936824 5y agoWhy would they need a pesky PR department to cut into their profits? The cars sell themselves no matter how shitty their QA is so why bother with PR people
- sidibe 5y agoThey have legions of PR people who seem to want to do the job for free and can be way more aggressive than corporate PR could ever be.
- rosndo 5y ago> Experts believe it is the first felony prosecution in the United States of a driver accused of causing a fatality while using a partially automated driver-assist system. I have a really hard time believing this one. Nobody has been prosecuted with a felony after killing someone while using cruise control?
