Very helpful, thanks. In London, health insurance is normally provided by the company that you work for (at least all the companies I've worked for). And I can sign up my partner for an additional monthly fee as well.
Is this not the case in Switzerland?
- microtherion 5y agoNo, in Switzerland health insurance is strictly bought by individuals (and it's mandatory to have it).
- traspler 5y ago(As already said, no, you will have to choose your own insurance and pay for it) And you are required to have basic health insurance but can't get rejected if you have prior conditions. There is also a market for additonal insurances or higher tier ones (so you get your choice of doctor and single bed rooms in hospitals).
