Because everything the progressives touch turns to s*t? Comedy, art, museums, schools, colleges, and yes even whole cities. Just like communism, it sounds great on paper but in practice it doesn't work. It doesn't suprise me that the epicenter of the whole movement is the first one to crumble. What can we do? Will we can push back against it at the risk of losing our livelihoods. This is going to be tough for a lot of people.
