- mulmen 5y agoEven Apollo 8 was inappropriate and NASA has very deliberately avoided those kinds of embarrassments since.
- robwwilliams 5y agoAgreed. It was pompously Abrahamic, evidently as much for political show as a heart-felt expression of wonder. We all do feel the wonder, but let’s avoid the Christmas kitsch and the tacit “God, the father” image he evoked.
