McDonald's faces a chip shortage in Japan
- osivertsson 5y agoI cringe when I read that they will resort to flying french fries from Canada to Japan. Shame on you McDonald’s from an environmental standpoint.
- usrbinbash 5y agoThe west had literally DECADES to build up a stronger silicon-industry, and all the money and brainpower to do so. Problem is, if spending for education and public investments in "future" technology stagnates, well...

- coldtea 5y agoSupply shortages are probably more depressing and worrying trend than cpu industry. And they are not entirely because of "covid disruptions".
- raxxorrax 5y agoTo be fair, this was pretty dirty from the BBC. In a good way at least. And who is to say that silicon fries aren't tasty as well.
