I use Python on Windows for Django developement. Since I'm need to use other Win based software for work I use it also as my dev station. Can't complain, Windows does the job and Python doesn't care. One of the advantages of Python being x-platform. I find that most people that use Linux for dev, then emulate Windows for something, so I just stick to Win. This might change in Oct when Ubuntu 11.10 comes out, but probably now. Win has served me always very well.
