In the Speech-to-Song illusion, recorded speech is altered so that there are one or more exact repetitions. These exact repetitions are something that never occur in spontaneous conversational speech.
- MauranKilom 5y agoBut there is more to it than repetition. People will keep hearing the sentence as music even much later, without repetition at that point. It becomes (and remains) "musical" speech, even though it originally was not.
