Ben from Coder here - thanks for sharing, and I'm looking forward to the write up! :D code-server is the open source project we maintain. I personally host code-server on a Raspberry Pi in my office, so I can travel with an iPad and still write code. Coder (also self-hosted) is a platform with multi-IDE support and team features. In other news, JetBrains introduced their remote gateway, similar to VS Code remote. This is a great time to start developing on a remote server.
