Majority rule is kind of the underpinnings of democracy though, and free speech is a major factor in effective democratic systems.
- lupire 5y agoNo! Democracy is rule by the people, not 50.1% of the people. "Tyranny of the majority" is the major anti-democratic risk of majority rule systems. That's why free speech is in the Constitution, to defend free speech against majority rule.
