With no Covid Pass, my wife and I are banished from society (Twitter)
- throwme159 5y agoThis is such garbage. You’re not a freedom fighter for not getting a COVID jab, you’re an asshole. This shot has been given to over a billion people and is known safe around the world. Imagine if someone put up this kind of fuss over a polio vaccine for their kids.
- ekianjo 5y ago> This shot has been given to over a billion people and is known safe around the world Missed the point entirely. This is about authorities controlling everything in your life. Happy reading.
- throwme159 5y agoI didn’t miss the point, he and his wife are just being needlessly stubborn. This isn’t a cause worth sacrificing the safety of your wife and kids for. Regulations exist for a reason. You don’t just get to say “hey I’m going to not vaccinate my kids for polio because I don’t feel like it”. How is this any different?
- foolzcrow 5y agoYou are making excuses for segregation. You are so wrong this will lead to war AGAIN, just like last time. We are 6-0 vs despots. About to be 7-0.
- sologirlcamper 5y ago> You don’t just get to say “hey I’m going to not vaccinate my kids for polio because I don’t feel like it” Plenty of people do this, it's pretty easy to get an exemption for most things like that. My parents did it just fine.
- throwme159 5y agoAnd the only reason you didn’t have a chance of getting polio is many other parents didn’t.
- ekianjo 5y ago> This isn’t a cause worth sacrificing the safety of your wife and kids for So the government putting artificial restrictions because of a virus that mostly kills very old people or people with at least 3-4 morbidities is "not a cause worth" it? The day something slightly more dangerous comes around, you can say goodbye to all your freedoms because you did not push back this time around. This creates precedents. > polio I love stupid analogies like that, as if an mRNA vaccine was just the same type of vaccine as a polio vaccine. Btw did you know polio vaccines are also to blame for new cases of polio? (https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/polio-cases-now-caused-vaccine-wild-virus-67287290 https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/polio-cases-now-caus...). Looks like the brainwashing worked just as expected.

- random314 5y agoI have heard that authorities also plan to impose taxes(stealing our money), driving passes, border entry passes as per their whims and fancies. Shocking what the future holds.
- Mikeb85 5y agoWhile this is true, governments are massively over-stepping their authority. Also, trust in government in post-soviet countries isn't exactly high to begin with. It's one thing to require proof of vaccination for places like restaurants, another to require an electronic pass to buy essentials like groceries.
- throwme159 5y agoTrue, but at the same time we’re not going to win this battle without a very high vaccination rate. Perhaps food delivery or some other mechanism can be set up for the anti-vaccers.
- _9hey 5y agoThat narrative is contradictory to mainstream science. Herd immunity is naturally occurring. Follow the money.
- Daishiman 5y agoHerd immunity occurs naturally once 90% of the population gets infected with COVID. Do the math on how many deaths, Yeats of life lost, and increased medical costs that carries with he saturation of the medical system.
- ryankane 5y agoOf course he CAN NOT be a freedom fighter and this jab MUST BE safe ... because otherwise ... what would that would make you?
- gbN025tt2Z1E2E4 5y ago> "This is such garbage." I assume you're actually referring to yourself with the above comments and not the person on Twitter. It boggles my mind how we aren't even 100 years away from a time where certain people were forced to wear the "Star of David" before those same people were murdered enmasse by the rest of society all the while feeling entirely morally justified in doing so because the government mandated it. Now let's set aside the elephant in the room for a moment, where sane people realize the vaxxed should have nothing to fear from the unvaxxed if the miracle vaccines do indeed do what they say on the box, then all we're left with is a group of people, that includes yourself, who are seconds away from again morally justifying the mass murder of other citizens all the while feeling entirely morally justified in doing so because the government has again provided them with the necessary moral justification for those murders via government mandates. And you think YOU are the good guy in this situation? I started this comment by quoting you, so I'll finish it the same way: > "... you're an asshole."
- thiht 5y agoThat makes no sense, you’re comparing people refusing to get vaccinated to end a pandemic to one of the biggest genocides in history. We’re not killing unvaccinated people, we’re denying them access to restaurants and bars. They’re killing themselves though.
- gbN025tt2Z1E2E4 5y agoDid you even read the OP's link? The government, and now by extension via mandates, the vaxxed, are denying unvaxxed any ability to access normal supply channels for personal income, food, education, clothing, home repair supplies and other basic needs for surviving in modern society, and just because they didn't literally put a gun to the unvaxxed people's heads and pull the trigger, you somehow see the recipients living under all those restrictions as the perpetrator of their own demise who deserve death by what is essentially the equivalent of "japanese inspection." Big John will educate you on Japanese inspection: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKGjeqHSy1A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKGjeqHSy1A
- birtoise 5y agoIf only there was a solution that 1) solved all of their problems listed and 2) protected them and society from the worst pandemic in recent years…
- powerbroker 5y agoSpacesuits.
- birtoise 5y agoI notice that for people who are pro-vaccine, this “government authoritarianism” is not taken as, well, authoritarianism. It is rather perceived as the government caring for its people and adopting the necessary measures to control the situation. It’s interesting to see how different groups of society perceive the same issue from completely different angles.
- haunter 5y agoThe funny thing in a lot of EU countries you can get a jab which doesn't give you the universal EU vaccine passport. If you got Sputnik or Sinopharm you are out of luck even though you are vaccinated
- _9hey 5y agoThis post overlaps things that are intellectually interesting and politically charged. Unfortunately it has been flagged because of the latter. We as a society should be concerned when the level of dehumanization on any front approaches that of the grievous past we should all be aware of
- kaminar 5y agoWorst pandemic, lol. Covid is not a thing...Sars is the disease. Nothing compared to the Spanish flu of 1918...another false comparison...jabs will cure nothing...it's all a power play, always was...if you can't see it, you're blind. Openvaers.com
