I was helping prep my high school kid for his evolution quiz. One of the concepts was "punctured equilibrium". To get his attention, and make it relevant I used:
"global warming is puncturing the equilibrium today. What do you think that looks like?"
- titzer 5y agoIt's "punctuated equilibrium". Meaning, there are relatively long periods of stability separated by short spells--punctuations--of upheaval.
