I put my trust in the review from Wirecutter / NYT (https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-vpn-service/ https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-vpn-service/). I have used both Mullvad and TunnelBear. I bought a year of TB. It's on all the time and I forget it is there.
