Afaik they operate out of the US. I'm not sure if the NSA is really any better, perhaps just less forthright. I mean, I don't know what to believe, the whole FBI app.le thing makes me feel less cynnical about the chance of NSA knocking on the door in the name of national security - but I've heard they can do that, which seems like you'd have no choice. As a programmer from Australia though I can't believe they are passing these laws. Seriously depressing.
