Wut? Like tidal-locked orbit of the Moon, doesn’t a planet eventually get rotational-locked over eons?
If so, doesn’t that imply that Earth rotation is getting slower as time progresses?
what did i miss? Earth’s orbit is spinning faster now than back then?
- ncmncm 5y agoNo, the title is misleading. "Longer" means "lengthening". Days were much shorter early on than today, and gradually got longer. But days getting longer would be expected to have an effect on chemical balances.
