I've found the best TODO 'app' is google calendar and a journal. I also have white board where raw idea get put down, but there id no real organization. once I decide I like the idea, task, ect I work it into my calendar and/or journal and go from there.
- reidjs 5y agoSame. Recurring and one-off scheduled tasks go on gcal (pay rent, go to dentist tuesday). one off things like grocery lists, notes, writing snippets go in a journal synced across devices (iA writer in a git repo). I also use a Trello board for tracking longer term goals/personal projects.
- justrudd 5y agoDoes your calendar get cluttered? I use iOS Reminders to track things like “Every month on the 1st Saturday run the cleaning cycle on my washing machine”. And I’ve got 23 recurring todos like this. Feel like these kinds of things would clutter my calendar.
- reidjs 5y agoNot really, but maybe it’s because I don’t track habits or hobbies (go to gym, write, play guitar, etc)
