Google has finally killed YouTube RSS feeds
- pwrplus1 5y agoUntil very recently, people could subscribe to a YouTube channel (or playlist) with a URL like: https://www.youtube.com/feeds/videos.xml?channel_id=[channel_id] The title link was previously the feed for The Late Show. In their continued war on everyone, Google appears to have killed YouTube RSS feeds as these all now return 404.
- readflaggedcomm 5y agoJudging by r/youtube, they've been going down about every month this year. Feeds were down for some hours a couple of days ago, too. It might be temporary, but we can't tell without an annoucement.
- pwrplus1 5y agoPreviously they've been time-outs, but this is the first I've got 404s.
- readflaggedcomm 5y agoIt returned 404s for me in the last outage a few days ago. It's working again now.
- shashank1644 5y agoIt seems to be working again. Most likely they were down temporarily for whatever reason.
- zimpenfish 5y agoYeah, just tried the one I've been reading - this morning's fetch (~0400 UTC) got a 404 but I got the correct output just now (1018 UTC).
