Most gaming boards don't come with a TPM chip right?

  No idea about "most", but for example, I have an Asus Prime X470 Pro. It has a 14-pin TPM connector, but the module is separate. Looks like they are not expensive[0], but... sold separately. However there is also an fTPM setting available (apparently built in, but I haven't tested that yet.)     I've only ever seen gaming mobos with those 14-pin TPM connectors and no module. There's also really no reason to use a TPM module, as far as I can tell.
