SEEKING WORK, Brazil GMT-3, Remote Hello! My name is Vitor, and I wake up with a big smile when I have new software to code! I have been developing software for more than 15 years now - everything from short, couple weeks projects to really big ones. From these 15 years, the first 6 years I've worked for a Fortune 50 company, where I led a development team, while overseeing external companies building software for us as well, sometimes with multimillion budgets. I left the company in search of more freedom, and since then, I've worked with ~100 different companies around the world, mostly remotely. When working and making decisions about the process about to be digitalized, I really enjoy looking at the "big picture", like not only thinking the time to deliver the software but also how hard it will be to maintain the sofware I'm going to code, and then deciding the best path; sometimes it means coding from scratch, sometimes it means customizing great, proven open-source software. Whatever is the simpler way to solve that business problem. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Nowadays I prefer to use JavaScript or Python, but I still code a lot in PHP, .Net (VB, C#, ASP), C++ and Java - whatever is needed for the task at hand. I've worked on all kinds of verticals: Oil, banking, eCommerce, Medical, eLearning, and many more that are harder to categorize. I'm super responsive. I also speak Portuguese and Spanish.
