That is my problem right now, I won't buy an android until cyanogen runs on it and it is easily rooted, so when my droid first gen finally broke I actually ended up buying an iphone as all the comparative weren't listed as meeting my requirements. I hope when my iphone breaks the ecosystem is better (so far I only really miss native gmail and having an actual filesystem to use with the apps.)
