  You are far too attached your squishy, fragile body.. Edit: To actually add some substance to that, I mean space travel is dangerous, slow, and radioactive, and likely to remain that way for a while. So uploading to a robot really is probably the best way to go visit other planets for a while.

    It is also much faster to send bits between colonies than to send people.
