I'm really curious ( and not trolling ) : Don't you guys need to think "before" and "while" coding ? Or you just type as faster as you can ? I need to design and "try" code on my mind and then write it, i can make some last moment corrections while writing. Most of time, my code works as i designed and i'm spending much of my time with designing not writing. So what's the matter ?

I've never gotten really proficient at any single text editor, but I've also never really felt like typing/editing was a significant part of the time I spend programming. Hearing other people talk about their amazing productivity gains from time to time makes me think I should master a particular text editor, but I don't expect I ever will because it just doesn't seem like a limiting factor to me. Could be wrong.
