Instead of the Golden Rule, think of it this way:
"Ask others how they want to be treated, and then treat them that way."
- loopz 5y agoIt doesn't help when people have no broader vision, plan or clue. I engage people for shared understanding and work instead, but is counter to expectations.
- proc0 5y agoThis is the right attitude but unfortunately I don't think it can be asked straight forward that way. The answer is best attained through listening and observing, but intentionally it's this principle balanced with the golden rule.
