It seems to me like companies have gotten away with virtue signaling without performing any meaningful change for a long time. So, the fact that this article (and others like it) is getting so much attention now feels like a sea change. Or maybe it's just me that is paying more attention, but I don't think so. This new level of accountability makes me hopeful that we can look forward to more meaningful, impactful changes on a systemic level.
