Stripe quits processing payments for Trump campaign website
- bra-ket 6y agoI've seen the phrase 'threat to democracy' thrown around this week to justify silencing voices. If you're afraid of what someone who thinks differently will vote for, then maybe democracy itself is the problem.

- fortnum 6y agoAt this point all of this is just an old-fashioned witch hunt. Rowan Atkinson was not referring to Trump but his exact words apply here. People's mentality has not changed even a bit since medieval times. Wouldn't be surprised if people downvote my comment here too because they cannot accept that statement.
- fortnum 6y agoLess than a minute and my assumption already proved to be true. Fascinating how people crave for echo chambers.
- rvz 6y agoIt is indeed true and so is what Atkinson has described. The whole series of events is a full scale witch hunt operation rinse and repeated. Other were hunted down like this but no-one noticed until the President became the next target.
- mjfern 6y agoI respectfully disagree. When a politician and party are inciting violence, encouraging a coup, and undermining the foundations of democracy then I think we’ve crossed over the line from needing to be accepting of different views.
- fortnum 6y agoIf that was the only criteria we'd need to remove quite a few of them, including Pelosi.
- dragontamer 6y agoThe election results are not in question. Biden won. What we fear are those who wish to violently overturn Bidens legitimate win.
- ipnon 6y agoLet's consider this from purely a business perspective. Surely Stripe has done the numbers and they stand to lose revenue from continuing to process payments for this particular website, right?
