the people on these communities creates their alternative reality. selectively avoid news/information that can burst their bubble. its the same with /r/politics. both living in massive bubbles with complete opposite realities. the difference is that r/the_donald is more violent. They cordinate gatherings, "attacks", a violent protests. r/politics which is liberal bubble is more peaceful but both these communites censor opposing views and is dangerous to democracy
