Males took more risk and therefore died in places that would more likely preserve their fossils?

- seg_lol 6y agoNot that the places are likely to preserve, but a larger diversity of places.
- jccooper 6y agoThere's probably some of the former. Many fossilizing environments are more dangerous, and sometimes in surprising ways that more cautious--or experienced--individuals would avoid or approach more carefully. Tar pits, caves and crevasses, river banks, wetlands.
