Honestly this seems like an efficient use of waste-heat generated by the computer -- use it to keep you meal warm!
Maybe in the future recipes will come with cryptographic hashes you need to crack in order to warm your processors to the appropriate level and length for cooking
- k_sze 6y agoWe should be thankful that they don't DRM their food so you can warm only KFC food in the KFConsole.

- evanb 6y agoTowards the beginning of cryptomania there was a company selling room heaters where the heat was produced by GPUs or ASICs or something. Look, you’re cold. You want heat. May as well help pay the heating bill. Don’t know if they’re still going.
- auxym 6y agoI started you mining Litecoin back in something like 2014, when I was in grad school. My appartment had purely resistive baseboard heating, so might as well mine some coin whole heating during Canadian winters right? I stopped after making a few bucks because, well, I needed the PC to do my research work and investing in a dedicated rig wasn't really worth it (on a grad student budget).
