I've found some good designer/developers through freelance sites like Guru and Elance and even Craigslist. My trick, if it is one, is to put a human face on my postings. I share a little about who I am, a young entrepreneur trying to do something cool. This usually helps get 1 or 2 posts that are by someone whose a good match and it usually goes well from there.
