Check out these new features amazon is adding to route 53 (it's dns hosting service): https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=63893 https://forums.aws.amazon.com/thread.jspa?threadID=63893 It's basically adding the ability to specify round robin and different weights to elastic load balancing groups. That should make it easier to have multiple elastic load balancing groups in different regions.
