Let's say the power company decides to stop providing electricity to people that disagrees with their political views. It's okay right, since anyone is free to start their own utility company?
- zamadatix 6y agoUtilities are regulated very differently from "traditional" public companies so you're going to end up with answers around that (which is fine if it's what you intended just giving you a heads up).
- esotericimpl 6y agoNo, that’s not how utilities work. Also I didn’t see where anyone in the article said they were removing listings. Trash people don’t want to be called trash by people who they treat like trash.
- rticesterp 6y agoUtilities don't work that way since we've made laws that say they don't work that day. That's the point of the article. A false accusation can essentially shutdown a lifetime's worth of work into a business. That's not right and that should be illegal
