It's simple and comparatively easy to make reliable, but a factor in its continued use is that's so prevalent in hard-to-change places: the web, libraries, old OSs, switches, other battle-hardened systems, etc.
- _wldu 6y agoIt's the largest distributed database ever. It's not simple or easy, but it works very well and has for decades.
