  Thank you. I think this captures a lot of it: > liberals care far more about proper culture signaling than they do about the much harder and more consequential work of actual politics. I'd argue this is more about the political climate in the US (and many other places) than about liberals specifically. Arguably for "true liberals" this shouldn't be a consideration at all but might be for conservatives.
