Indeed, it's the first 'popular revolution' I've ever seen that's been pushed hard as a full-spectrum propaganda war by virtually the entirety of the establishment and elite; this 'diversity' they bore on about ad-nauseam does not seem to extend to diversity of thought. Object to it and you get cancelled (or worse) by the SJW footsoldiers.
- wakawaka1 6y agoExactly. It’s so ironic and funny. Suddenly all the folks who pretend to be counter culture— ie the neon haired, tattooed, pierced folks... are following the narrative set out for them and fed to them across all manner of propaganda outlets. They follow the same political agenda as banks, Hollywood, mainstream media. Now counter culture is conservatism, modesty, prioritizing the family/motherhood. How ironic. I suppose ultimately it’s a cyclical political dialectic at work. A political machine to gauge the response of the population— ie shifting between pseudo capitalism (conservatism) and pseudo communism (liberalism) to slowly push society in a certain direction (population control) through authoritarian means (either capitalist authoritarian or communist authoritarian— or perhaps a grotesque mix!) _________ ...and diversity of thought?! No! That’s wrong think! Clearly you need to be “re-educated”, as you’ve been exposed to forbidden information, the sources of which must be subverted! /sarcasm Ahh yes, the “tolerance” we’ve heard so much about. Tolerance for one view, and only one view. The mainstream one, provided to you for your consumption. Now don’t go and do any research... it might convert you to the “dark side” of “wrong think”. ... but seriously: how ironic is it that all this weird body modification stuff is normalized! Hahaha! There goes the intention: to set ones self apart. ...now that it’s trendy.
- wakawaka1 6y agoThe irony is that diversity of thought is supposedly predicated on diversity of social background. That was promoted so thoroughly— “we want different social backgrounds on our team because this will result in more creative ideas and thoughts”. Yet... clearly we see there is no intention for real diversity of thought. Instead, there must be an ulterior motive. Basically, get a population to buy in to tribalism. Then, they self-police each other into politically correct conformity. Luckily though, the social institution of diversity consumes itself, no one can escape from the group-policing driving the group towards utterly bland conformity.
