Does anyone really believe that the principals of these pirate suites freely give out their real phone no's, addresses, and anything else useful ? They know from the start that the authorities will be using the legal system to obtain this information (which is typically all false information anyway).
and if they hail from Russia no Western legal process applies in Russia, Russian courts don't respect any Western demands, in fact, Western lawyers who dare to show up in Russia would likely be beaten or killed, so they could hire local counsel, but the criminals can hire hitmen to take out local counsel cheaper than they can hire defense lawyers.
That says something about the legal trade: when guys can hire hitmen cheaper than you can hire a lawyer (and typically with more certain results)
- abdullahkhalids 6y agoPlease don't make drastically negative generalized statements about the _people_ of a country without statistical evidence to back it up. Note that drastically negative statements about the government/state of a certain country can be supported to a high degree by a few examples of their behavior.
