It would have been nice to have a test group that used the classic Gnome 2 desktop. This would give the Unity scores a bit more context.
- rwar 15y agoIt would also be interesting to see it run against Gnome 3 shell (it's 'intended' predecessor)
- mostly_harmless 15y agoslightly pedantic, but Gnome 3 is the intended successor of Gnome 2 (not its predecessor)
- lkozma 15y agomaybe he meant predecessor of Unity.
- alagu 15y agoI guess that really wasn't the point. The intention was to find out the usability bugs in Unity.
- hristov 15y agoBut that should be the point. I am still not convinced why Unity is necessary.
- nfm 15y agoAgreed. It's great to know that there's some formal usability testing going on (and very interesting to see the results), but without comparing the usability of the existing desktop it's hard to know if we're going forwards or backwards.
