It would make the paper more readable to newcomers to explain this. The author was too smug and as a newer person in the Rust community I wish people who cared enough about writing papers also cared about making them accessible :/
- steveklabnik 6y agoThey're not trying to make a real argument, see the very last bit. It's a completely different talk with some words substituted. (It stands for "higher kinded types", which is a feature Haskell is well-known for that Rust lacks.)
