There is some fascinating work demonstrating generalization on arithmetic problems GPT-3 has never seen before, what do you think about that?
- qeternity 6y agoAnd once again, generalization does not imply reasoning. A linear regression is able to generalize on data it hasn’t seen before but that doesn’t mean it’s reasoning about anything. GPT-3 is just the biggest exercise in curve fitting ever conducted.
