I know of three people who have died and of many people who’ve been ill. I’m not afraid myself, I avoid crowded areas and getting physically too close to anyone (other than my wife). I think the response by the government here in France has been acceptable, other than that for a long time there was a shortage of both masks and tests. (It would have been better to have had both a stockpile of masks available and the capacity to manufacture them here locally.)
