Rust's macros aren't hacky though? I would understand this point better if you were talking about C's macros, but macros in Rust are hygienic so don't suffer the same pitfalls.
- kelnos 6y agoI wouldn't say they're hacky, but rust's macro specification is nearly a different language than rust itself. Writing -- and more importantly, reading and understanding -- rust macros still requires quite a bit more knowledge than just regular rust code.
