I enjoyed the theory and problems much more than doing "experiments" in high school and university. In fact, I loathed the lab components. I always felt they were highly contrived, and offered little value beyond having to learn the structure of writing out a formal lab. I get that experimentation and laboratory work is a vital part of science. I just appreciated the problem solving components more.
