The following line from the article in question leads me to believe that he did not purchase the second laptop from the same store.
"I returned that laptop to the store where I bought it and bought a higher Samsung model (R540) from another store."
I will wait for confirmation/proof in either direction before drawing any conclusion regarding possible "defamation" on the authors part.
- loganlinn 15y agoIndeed, we shouldn't jump to any conclusions. My point was that the author appears to already have, especially given the article's title. There are lots of situations that could explain to origin of the malware (reseller, pre-installed bloatware, etc), but the author chose one.
