Most surprising thing it: users on HN seem to love this "Facebook kinda content", counting the replies.
- dang 6y agoThere's a bit of survivorship bias in there because a lot of such posts go nowhere. But the community does respond strongly to opportunities to personally share. The main reason it works, though, is that it's relatively uncommon. If it were a big slice of the pie people would get bored and complain.
