I enjoyed reading the article, and I wouldn't have found it if it wasn't here on HN. If it shouldn't be here (according to the HN community) it wouldn't be sitting at the top of the news page.
- rbanffy 16y agoI agree popular vote took it to the top of the first page, but it indicates a change in the composition of the community or a change of interests from startup-related technologies to more general discussion. I, obviously, have an unpopular opinion.

- steveklabnik 16y agoI'd think that this discussion is significantly more hacker-y than many of the others here. I mean, I can see your argument: HN is obviously becoming more and more mainstream, and hence, articles will tend more and more in that direction. This article, though, isn't one of them.
