That's how you turn on DND...
Frustratingly, if you "x" all the notifications, there's still no hint that you can scroll to see night shift & DND toggles.
I still have to think really hard every time I want to move my cursor to the beginning or end of an edit line on OS X.
- tobr 7y agoYou can also option+click the notification center icon in the menu bar.
- samatman 7y agoReally? Cmd left and right are built into my muscle memory at this point. I'm pretty good with vim but not a day goes by that I don't try this by accident and end up in the next terminal over...
- cannam 7y ago> That's how you turn on DND... For anyone else who wondered what DND stood for: it's "Do Not Disturb". Now that I know that, I see there is a subthread about it elsewhere in this HN page - but I couldn't find an expansion when searching either this HN thread or the linked article for the string "DND". Had to go and follow the instructions on a Mac, to find out what it was that lay hidden in the Notifications window.
