He may have stayed below $10K in hardware, but there is no way that includes the electricity needed to run the machines 24/7 for half a year.
- dkdk8283 7y agoAssuming 3kw and a PUE of 1.5 for cooling comes out to approx 20,000 kwh of power. Assuming a high-ish rate of $.13/kwh it comes out to around 2.5k for 6m. Not too bad.
