Ouch.. had to bounce Apache, but not sure what caused that... other sites on the same host have had a few thousand hits in a couple hours. Maybe more traffic than expected this morning

Take a look at Cloudflare for helping to take some of the load off of the site. Works great.

Thanks, I'll check it out. I guess I need to work on my architecture, it's not holding up well with the HN load :)
