If systemd is as bad as people say, why did every major distro adopt it?
Honestly, it has been so dramatic to read about this - why did it go through almost everywhere if there are such concerns? Are the concerns unfounded?
- RL_Quine 7y agoJust because people are adding it to things doesn’t mean it’s any good. Most distros pipe all of their audio over TCP for absolutely no good reason too, also at the hands of Pottering.
- kbr2000 7y agoI'm guessing it's comparable with like how Trumpalump got (and stays) in office... Any concerns will need to be dealt with afterwards, for the time being we'll just distract you with a big show! - LessDmesg 7y agoBecause most people want a Lindows, not Linux. And a Lindows they got, with many pros and cons of Windows. Linux users will always be a minority because Linux is about tinkering and customization instead of a consistent corporation-concocted UX.
