My cable modem is in bridge but I can also reach its web interface the management IP. In that case, you should find out if the modem is vulnerable because an exploited modem could still be messing with your traffic.
- jwr 7y agoMessing how? I mean, yes, it is a problem, but so is any networking device anywhere on the Internet — as soon as the traffic leaves my network, all bets are off. The point is not to allow operator-managed crappy devices (like cable modems) into my network.
